Now this problem has been solved once and forever. Our FlexPost™ is made from a recycled solid-polyethylene plastic 4x4 with a very strong internal spring that makes it flexible when hit and let's it snapback into position once the force has been removed. It will never rot or rust.

It can be knocked flat to the ground and yet it will return to its original position. That's given you install a lightweight single-size mailbox. Otherwise the mailbox will not snap-back if pushed beyond 30º from vertical. In that case, you can just pull it back up into vertical and you're good to go again.

Further, the solid plastic post will not damage the car's bumper, especially when it's one of those painted plastic bumpers. So that protects even your own car.

We sell only the post. You must acquire the mailbox and flat platform that it's mounted on. You just screw the platform onto the top of the installed post and then mount your mailbox to that.

You only need to dig a hole of 16-inches deep and fill it with concrete, a lot less than what is required for a stiff post.

Alternate Uses:

Our FlexPost™ can be used for guide posts in parking areas. If a car accidentally impacts one or more of the posts when pulling out, it will damage neither the post nor the vehicle. This frees the property owner from liability for damages to the vehicle.

Another use is the separation of rights-of-way in running paths and bike paths. If the bike rider or runner should encounter a post, they will not be injured and can pick their self up and continue on their way.
