Outside
of our local area, projects
are first evaluated by looking at digital pictures sent to
us by e-mail. If we accept your project for further review, you will be
required to pay a $250 up-front service fee for MR. DECK
to visit your location and meet with you on-site to complete the
evaluation.
During the
on-site visit, if you wish to proceed, you will prepay a design-work drawing fee, usually in the range of $300
- $500 per structure. Each design drawing is necessary for doing a cost-evaluation because
it helps me figure out what it will take to do the project as designed and
it provides me the means for deriving the
material portion. It's the material costs upon which our shop labor and
overhead costs are based.
To do a cost-estimation, a $250 fee is charged per structure. This fee
(only) will be applied as a credit against the
purchase price if you elect to have MR. DECK
prefabricate the structure or provide a significant proportion of the
materials.
If
you contract with
MR.
DECK
to oversee your project, you will hire your own local, licensed, qualified
contractors to do the construction work. If an arbor is involved and
it's local, I will personally monitor the erection of the structure
on-site myself. If it's a deck, you will hire your own local licensed
deck-contractor
to do the work under my supervision. Out of the area, I will oversee
either an arbor or deck project remotely via digital email photos that
you will furnish periodically at designated progress points.
