Spa Scroll Screen

Return to Design Orphanage

Designed as an enclosure for a 7x7 or 8x10 spa, it is a scrolled 4 ft lattice screen set atop a masonry pony-wall of the same contour. It is terminated at the front by two concrete-filled 8 ft Roman columns set directly beneath the scroll spirals. The scroll-beam is supported between the columns by eight 8x8 timber posts with fluted corners. Each post has a 6x12x12 capital and an 8x12x12 base.

The lattice is true 3D solid PVC plastic privacy lattice that is bent to conform to its scroll- patterned Mediterranean style frames.

The seats are a horizontal arrangement of solid plastic 2x12 boards mounted on wall-hung timber corbels.

The hanging lamp is an 18-inch 6-sided crystal- lens carriage lantern with a 3-bulb candelabra UL-rated for wet location. All wiring and conduit are hidden and the switch is operated by remote control.
