PROJECTS
The TAXERA PROJECT

This is another all-PrimoPlank solid-plastic
deck and arbor project. The project consists of 3 decks and one trapezoidal
shade-arbor.

The decking is
standard-grade cedar-color PrimoPlank 2x6's.
Everything else:
railings, vertical lath-screen, stair stringers and risers, deck fascias,
and arbor, is fabricated from above-standard grade white PrimoPlank.

The 2 decks in the rear yard are connected by a
common mid-level platform at the base of their stairs. This mid-level
platform is then connected to the yard by a central, flared step-cascade.
This whole stair arrangement is recessed between the major decks to minimize
the intrusion of the stairs into the shallow rear yard.

The shade-arbor over the side-deck is a
carry-over of the
Cloutier project's porch arbor. It is integrated
into the side-deck's railing using an arched balustered-valence. The arbor's
canopy is composed of 2x2 white square PVC tubing.
This series of decks could have been just
plain-Jane were it not for the designer stair complex and diamond-squares on
the railings of the rear decks and the designer arbor above the side deck.
These few enhancements make all the difference between "plain-Jane" and "
showpiece-Denise" .
